ERP for furniture factories and woodwork shops

From the panel saw to the paint booth, Fabricus follows each order through carpentry, assembly, painting and packing – with the boards, hardware and hours it really used.

What usually goes wrong

Boards disappear

More MDF and pine leave the store than the orders need, and nobody can say which order took them.

Prices from last year

The price list was made when boards and varnish were cheaper, so some products now sell at a loss.

No idea how long a job takes

A table takes "about two days" – until three orders run late in the same week.

How Fabricus handles it

  • Materials list per product. Boards, screws, hinges, glue and varnish with a waste percentage, so the planned quantity is realistic.
  • Department stock. Carpentry, assembly and painting each have their own stock; material moves by request and approval.
  • Stopwatch per step. Workers start and stop each step on their phone; the supervisor sees who works on what.
  • Real cost per order. Material at average or last purchase price, labour from wages, machine hours and overhead.
  • Proposals with photos. Send the customer a proposal with product photos; they accept it on their phone.

Example: one order, the real cost

LineAmount
Pine boards and MDF (planned 25.2, used 25.2)$194.04
Labour – 9 h 40 min from the stopwatch$25.13
Machines + overhead$39.62
Real cost for 12 side tables$258.79
Cost per table → price with 30% margin$21.57 → $30.81

Questions from Furniture & woodwork factories

Can it handle custom furniture made to measure?

Yes. Each order can have its own materials and steps, and the order report compares what was planned with what was really used.

Does it follow off-cuts and waste?

You set a waste percentage per material, and workers record extra material or scrap at each step, so the losses show in the order report.

Can my workers use it without a computer?

Yes. Workers use their own phone to clock in and start or stop their steps; supervisors use a phone or tablet.
